So I'm on a budget and i just want to be able to game and maybe do a bit of basic video editing for school, maybe a little bit of photoshop..

So here's my build, I just wanted to know if you guys could recommend anything better. Also, I'm not against buying used hardware if it means having more money to spend on a cpu or gpu, so I wanted to know what pieces I could safely buy used and how much i could potentially save.

I have a keyboard and mouse already, and I'm in the US.

On a budget that tight, that's a fine build.

People are going to complain that the 6300 doesn't have much of an upgrade path, but compared to what you can get from intel for that price, it's leaps and bounds better for just general use. The G32 series bottlenecks to fuck and back anything that uses more than two cores, and is almost completely incapable of multitasking to any sort of amount with programs today.

Well the AMD core structure that is maybe 3 Intel cores sooo yeah.

I'd say if you intend to play MMO's, never go AMD... at least not until they release a stronger per-thread cpu. Intel is a must for cpu-bound mmo's. But if that's not in the making, the FX-6300 is good enough. And that GPU will do the trick as well.

CPU: Intel i5-4690k                                                               RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengance Pro DDR3-2400                                                                     Case: NZXT S340

Cooler: CM Hyper 212 Evo                                                  Storage: Intel 730 SSD                                                                                                            PSU: EVGA 850G2

Mobo: Asus Z97-A 3.1                                                          GPU: 980ti G1                                                                                                                          OS: Windows 10 Pro

Lol not even. Fanboy shit like that has to stop. The 6300 when running all cores outperforms most i3's and every pentium in anything but single-core performance. The difference between the best single-core performance on intel, and lowest on an fx chip is only about 65%. And that's a 4790k to 6200. The difference between the i3's and last gen I5's is even less because of lower cache, and differing architectures.

The 6300 may not get that extra like 7fps, but can get steady fps while streaming and letting someone be a tab-hog in chrome. The G32 series, which is the only chip you can get in that kind of a budget won't even touch tab-hogging and gaming at the same time.

Of course, he could do much better if he was willing to go used, but that's a different song and dance all together.

This Rosewill case is pretty damn good for budget builds: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/pRZqgs

Seriously, only go Intel in a budget build if you intend to play CPU-Bound MMO's. Then aim for an i5 if you can, if not then an i3-4160 or i3-4370. For most budget builds, the 6300 is plenty. And it will be better for the productivity tasks you have in mind.

I wouldn't really say one is better than the other, but the Rosewill case comes with 3 fans stock. And USB 3.0. And from what I've seen of it, it's actually not a bad case for $40.

EDIT: I just now noticed the Power Supply you have chosen... I'd go for at least 80+ Bronze.

For my own personal taste, especially for an all AMD build, I'd go for a bit more wattage to be on the safe side.
