CHEAPEST LGA1150 WITH OC AND SLI SUPPORT

i wanted to buy an amd 8350 cpu and then overclock, then upgrade later but then i also want to check if i can get a K i5 + OClockable mother board for a similar price . limit should be 300 both. Guys help. i will be buying gtx 970s and maybe SLI later when i get my 4k monitor but 8350 might bottleneck my 970.. im not a fanboy of any but i know intels perform better and are more expensive but AMD gives you more for your money.. i want the perfect intel combo  CPU+MOBO $300

You could get a G3258 and a Z87/Z97 board that supports sli then upgrade to a 4690k sometime and it'll work with the same motherboard.

G3258 @ 4.5 | 8GB Team Vulcan RAM | 128GB Kingston V300 SSD (I didn't know what I was doing when I bought it) | MSI H81I Motherboard | Corsair H55 with Noctua NF-P12 | EVGA SSC GTX 960 4GB | OCZ 550W Fully Modular PSU with Noctua NF-A14 | Cooler Master Elite 130 (Soon to be something cool)

Or if you want to spend $300 right away a 4690k and this would work. It would probably be over $300 unless you can go to a microcenter in which case it would be right at $300.

i will be doing a lot of programing and multitasking not only games ...

i like leaving stuff open all the time.. and browsing with "million" tabs open .

CAN THE G3258 give me good performance

In that case, no, don't get the G3258. Just go straight for an i5.

@donsleeq

It will give you the best performance a dual core processor can offer. Just consider that before moving forward.

Guilty of building a PC that is more powerful than necessary... No ragrets.
