Gpu upgrade

So I have an r9 280 (don't call me stupid for no x at the end) but I have had a pretty good experience with it but would like to upgrade to something future proof a star at gaming at 1080pand most of all just a cool and confident card that is no more than $350. I think gtx 970 from MSI would be perfect ( I like MSI stuff , not a fanboy tho just usually cheaper than gigabyte) so is this good or should I wait for new and or should I save for more HELP ME DECIDE PLZ!

Yea but you should list your full spec, to see if it it will bottleneck or not

Yea, the GTX 970 is an amazing card. It will last for a while on 1080P.

This is my full set up right now but ( I am a want to be recorder and streamer of gameplay so I am going to upgrade cpu to Intel 5820k just will need to upgrade ram and mobo also so is cost prohibitive right now) is this good?

Well the 6300 would bottleneck the 970. I reccomend upgrading when you have enough money to upgrade to whole system.

Unfortunately I will be forced to spend $800 aroroind there anyway on something else( college) if I have that much at one time ( I am 15) however if I just upgrade incremental then my parents are no questions asked so gpu or cpu upgrade first
