Core Temps fluctuate?

A lot of the time each core is completely different I was wondering if this meant if I applied the thermal paste wrong or something.

 

I used Artic MX-4 and I still have some.

 

For example sometimes it would go like this:

 

Core 1: 34

Core 2: 42

Core 3: 37

Core 4: 31

 

Is this nothing to be worried about? Sorry I get paranoid D:

those are great temps nothing, to worry about at all

As long as they're all below around 85C or so at load, you don't need to worry. The cores are often different temps.

Nah, It's pretty normal. An 11 degree difference is pretty vast but I've seen worse.

 

Usually intel CPU's have anywhere from a 5-8 degree difference between core temps and I'm just going to have a guess and say that the hottest idle core is the one processing the usual windows stuff in the background and that causes residual heat to go to the cores next to it. Once you put it under load you'll see them level out though

Yeah I wouldn't worry too much.  I have a ~5-10 degrees difference across the cores under load, they just fluctuate.
