Core Temps fluctuate?

Go to solution Solved by ShadowCaptain,

those are great temps nothing, to worry about at all

not all cores are used equally

A lot of the time each core is completely different I was wondering if this meant if I applied the thermal paste wrong or something.

I used Artic MX-4 and I still have some.

For example sometimes it would go like this:

Core 1: 34

Core 2: 42

Core 3: 37

Core 4: 31

Is this nothing to be worried about? Sorry I get paranoid D:

depending on each core loads

each will have different temps

Nah, It's pretty normal. An 11 degree difference is pretty vast but I've seen worse.

Usually intel CPU's have anywhere from a 5-8 degree difference between core temps and I'm just going to have a guess and say that the hottest idle core is the one processing the usual windows stuff in the background and that causes residual heat to go to the cores next to it. Once you put it under load you'll see them level out though :)
