SATA

Go to solution Solved by G27Racer_188,

she just says: "we have SATA", nothing about what it's for

and i think i found out...

This case has led lights at the back to light up mother board and VGA peripherals, and that sata also comes out from the on/off button(for those leds)

also the front logo led isn't working.

is that it? is that what it's for?

That's SATA power, probably for LEDs, and possibly fan hub. Just connect it to the PSU.

Why is there SATA connector preinstalled in the case (friends case) and where does it go on mother board? Case only has 2x USB 3.0 on the front, and sound/mic, nothing else

ty

Is one of the USBs an E-Sata port? the cable connects to SATA on the motherboard

it's much wider than the normal sata for hdd/ssd

What case is in question?

same as mine, NZXT S530, but I just hid it behind the mobo, cuz i don't need it, but my friend desperatly wants to know what does it do(I suggested him this case)

cd drive!?

it's only 1 way, it comes from dunno where, it's very strange
