Thanks for the info mate. I actually have a friend who is giving me a spare wdtv so I think this problem is solved. Find out tomorrow when I get it.

EDIT: WDTV works great.

Hi folks.

So i recently got a new tv, with a usb port. Any way to get DTS working on the media playback?

The device needs a DTS decoder or output the bitstream over spdif or arc to a device with a DTS decoder.

Would something like this work?

Its says DTS is supported, but will it downmix the audio to play on the tv?
Any other suggestions?
Any help advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Its says DTS is supported,

Yes it says decoding, but sometimes the product descriptions are wrong.

AC3 (AC3 only 640kbps)

DTS(Dts only 3.84Mbps)

For example the information in the brackets is curious and makes actually no sense.

So I think you have to try it and see if it works.
