Laptop not booting into windows

H4X3R

For some odd reason my mum's laptop (an acer, not sure which one, bought 2 years ago) cannot be booted into windows.

When starting up, there are 2 options which usually follow a "force shut down" or power cut:

"Start Automatic Repair"

and/or

"Start Windows"

When clicking repair, the "required files are loading" (white-greyish loading bar) and once that is done then the screen just freezes with a greyish background.

When clicking start windows (as usual), the windows logo comes up and does it's loading animation. Once it is done with the animation, there is a very brief (less than a second) BSOD flash and the laptop shuts down.

I would like some advice please.

I'd go ahead and do a clean install of Windows.  No telling whats going on without you providing us more info.
