Windows won't remember network drive credentials

Control panel -> credential manager -> remove current one 

then add a windows credential.

 

For some reason it wont save it if you just type it in and tick the box, you have to go through the control panel and manually add it so it remembers it.

So I have this issue where Windows won't remember the credentials for my network drive that I have set up, even though I click the box that tells it to remember them. It's an SMB share set up on my Dell server running OMV. Any ideas?

Are you running Windows 7 or Windows 8?

Haha, that's good :D I had the same issue in Windows 7, credential saving works better in Windows 8 :P
