kpm only has 1 real con and that it's shape

ec1-a has typical zowie problems but they've been slightly reduced with the ec-a

rival has the worse implemented sensor of the 3 (still good tho), heaviest of the 3

KPM > ec1-a > rival imo

i'd just go with what's most comfortable in your hand because at this lvl comfort make a bigger difference than a slightly better sensor

if all of them are comfy then ask yourself what you care more about and in what order: sensor, m1/m2 latency, side buttons, mousewheel

More info please. What for? What types of games? Grip?

Oh my bad, forgot about that part.

It's for gaming and productivity.

Games: FPS (BF, Crysis, Bioshock etc.)

Claw or palm if the mouse is big enough.

My hands are 22.5CM middle fingertip to palm base.

I'm looking for solid mouse for right handed, claw/palm grippers.

Zowie. Great sensor. Although the rival has a great sensor also. I have the Roccat kone pure optical.

Edit:I guess the military version does come with an optical sensor now so that could be an option also.. Hard choice. :P

Yeah, the all have the 3310 except for the Pure Optical. I was thinking Zowie because it's big and for palm grippers but if read about so many problems with it.

Latency, shaky side buttons, broken scroll wheels etc.

What's wrong the shape of the KPM?

I think I can work with all the shapes, only worried about the Rival since I've read it's too narrow in the front and to wide in the back for some.

So performance and build quality all what really matter to me right now. No loose scroll wheels, poorly placed side-buttons etc.

snip

button latency has been reduced on the ec-a. mousewheel has been fix'd from what ive read, side buttons still meh, about 5ms more latency than the KPM and rival

people tend to not like the KPMs shape, seemd fine to me tho

KPM probably has the best build quality imo

Alright, then I'll keep the Zowie on the list.

I can head to the store and try out the KPM and Rival. Unfortunately not the Zowie and it's seems they only have the EC-2 where I live.

Any other mice I should consider? No Corsair, Razer or Mionix (already have one).

mionix avior 7000 and the the g303 are the only other mouse that come to mind, but I assume you probably have the avior and dont like it and the 303 is awful for anything but fingertip grip

Nah, I really do like the Avior 7000. I just wanted to add some more mice to my collection. So I want my next one to be right-hand only since I have the buttons on the Avior turned off anyway.

I'll check out the KPM and go from there but I have my doubts with these gigantic hands I have. :P

Thanks for your help!

Which of these three mice would you get and why?

- Zowie EC1-A

- Roccat Kone Pure Military

- Steel Series Rival

I originally voted for the Zowie then saw your grip type. A claw on that won't feel right, in very nearly the same way a claw grip would not feel right on a Deathadder. Go for the Roccat.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Clawgrip actually works with DA because its shape is more pronounced, especially the thumb area, also depends on handsize ofc, also feels more natural to than the Rival with which my wrist gets forced up because of its arch.

I have small hands and it really doesn't work for me, though I could see somebody with normal-sized hands being comfortable with it.
