Hey guys, I have an AMD FX 8320. I have cool and quiet turned on which enables the CPU to underclock when it's not doing anything, but I have noticed something that's a little strange. When I open CPUZ, I see the frequency and voltage fluctuating from 1.4 GHz to 3.5/3.7. I know that the 1.4 is the typical underclock for this CPU. Is there any setting that I should change to stop it from doing this or is this normal for this CPU?? Thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate it! Oh and I have an Asus M5A97 R2.0 motherboard and a 500 EVGA PSU if any of that helps. Thanks a lot!!!

It's built to throttle your CPU to save power when your not using your PC or it's under low load. It'll go back to full clocks when it's put under load, so nothing to worry about.

If you want to turn it off, go into your bios and turn off Cool n' Quiet and C-states. Set Windows into "High Performance" in Power Options too.
