huge case mistake

so i build my system about 3 months ago, i was very happy but now i regret my choices

 

case: shuttle SZ77R5

gpu: gtx660ti 3gb KFA

ram: 2x4gb hyperx fury black

cpu: i5 3570

motherboard: included in the barebone

psu: included in the barebone

 

now i regret the purchase of my case because i cant upgrade anything, the motherboard is stock and the cooling is shit my gpu goes up to 80c with the cover so it is open and collecting dust 24/7.

 

this is what im planning to do:

 

get a new case: corsair obsidian 450D

get a new motherboard: what is the best choice? (no overclocking)

get a new psu: cooler master GM550M

 

and later on buy a new gpu: sapphire r9 290 tri-x oc 4gb (for the looks)

 

sould i change anything is this upgrade path?

Shuttle systems are what they are - barebones machines in a small form factor where they don't cater for customization or huge upgrades. I have a great little Q6600 based shuttle I used to run as a daily driver I need to stop being lazy about and try to sell but whilst I used it I did enjoy the thing as they sit very very nicely on a desk.

 

Regarding a motherboard I would just look at the LGA 1155 boards still for sale and try and pick a decent company (my preference is Gigabyte and MSI but you can throw Asus in there as well).

 

If you're not upgrading the graphics for a little while then keep in mind the AMD 3xx cards are being released in 3-4 months or so which might be worth looking at (although supposedly all but the top end cards are rebrands of the 2xx cards - which are rebrands of the 7xxx cards - *sigh* AMD, just... *sigh* ) so you might get something more powerful for less money if you wait for their release.
