GRAPHICS VS

Go to solution Solved by Atmos,

currently I'm on 1842x1036 :P custom at 60hz

I will go on a 4k In the future, what will be better for 4k ?

Then personally, I'd get the 290x 8gb. more vram, makes 4k run a bit better,

If resolution == 4k then

set.GPU("R9 290X 8gb")

else

set.GPU("R9 290X 4gb")

It's linked to system ram... kind of like a page file.

Ah i see. Thought something along those lines, but the gpu specific details kinda threw me off.

If you're going 980 consider buying another brand. Strix is only made to be quiet, but is known to be a shoddy OC'er and having coil whine issues.

For 660$ (instead of that 800) you can have this

http://www.galaxstore.net/GALAX-NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-980-HOF-4GB-p/98nqh6dnd2uz.htm

or an EVGA Classified etc

Intel 4790 K - R9 295X2 - Gigabyte Z97-SLI - Corsair Vengeance Pro Black 1866 CAL9 - Corsair HX 1000 -Samsung 850 EVO SSD - Samsung HDD - H100I - Corsair C70 - G400 Logitech - Asus VS247H - WASD custom mechanical and QCKPAD!

Staples of LTT: Getting an 4690 K will resurrect your lost family members, AMD = More heat thus AMD = Satan.

I believe the 800 was because of import charges.

Yeah probably... but if you're going to pay 800$ for that card might as well get the higher tier ones.

I have found the AMD one in 592.43$ I will go on that one as 200$ cheaper I will need to buy a physics card right ?

You don't need a physics card. The AMD one will work alone just fine.
