So I start up my pc today and I get the error message telling me that my windows is not genuine (which it is) ,so I put my product code in again and it verifies fine. I restart my pc and everything looks fine. I look deeper though, and I find that my windows experience index score has gone, and now I can't do another test, it comes up with this,

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9CcibQgAguUTlFObHR1M2xPZ28/view?usp=sharing

and when I click on it it doesn't run the test, it does absolutely nothing. I have no idea why it is doing ( it usually has the admin icon next to it but is no longer there). Help would be appreciated.

Thanks

If you hit start, hover mouse over computer, right click then go to properties it should pull up a page. At the bottom it will say if the installation is genuine or not. I know you said it took the key but I'm just making Windows took and accepted it.

Yeah I have checked that, it says it's genuine.

Does the solution from this work? One highlighted in green.

I have installed all of the latest drivers and I am now waiting for the guy at ms support to get his head around it. (might be a long wait)

If it's just about the experience index just let it be. It's useless anyway.

This is Windows being Windows.

Have you contacted MS support? There's a (great < not really) online chat support.

Tried them, absolutely useless. Told me to run a virus scan, which I have done. I just gave up and said thanks for the help (not that I got any)

To be honest, if you're only missing experience index, then I would leave it. It's not a big deal (to me), and not worth the trouble to get it. I haven't even run experience index on my computer. :)
