Is this only from a top viewing angle, or is it wherever you look at it from?

How long have you had that monitor? Is it only on the start up splash screen cause that could be some weird stupid driver problem. Do you have it at other times. If so please show pictures. This could also be the glass or plastic separating from the leds causing the color distortion.

if it only appear at a certain time of windows starting - shuting down - reinstall drivers or just ignore it - if it appear all the time then it's not normal - RMA it as they already said - because since you said * my new mointer it should have no problems =)) * good luck bro :D

I have the 278He and I have the exact same pattern in the exact same spot on the shut down screen, I think it is just due to the TN-panels used in these monitors ;)

Yeah its new and only with starting up and shutting down its not bothering me ore something haha

Yep, but if I could switch now I'd go for the 24" version instead, 27" is just a bit too big for the distance I am from my monitor (one armlength)
