Meh, I'm not 'done with it'. They often have good intentions and just give additional info other people can read.

I also don't know everything, so once in a while I'll learn something from a correction on here.

I only get annoyed by people correcting me with wrong information

Instead of trying to prove your dad wrong with an Internet forum, why not just listen to the subwoofer in different directions to find out for yourselves? That seems like a much more reliable way of finding out what matters than a few experts online. The shape of your room and the things in it matter, too.
