So guys, im looking for a good GPU for gaming and least for a long time

my current pc :

CPU : fx 6300 black edition

GPU : hd 7730 gddr5 1gb

RAM : 4gb

also im looking for a good watercooling kit for my cpu to oc it and i want it to be in a decent price because im living in Egypt and the prices here are kinda higher than amazon, newegg .. etc  also a good mobo .

and im going to add more 4gb ram btw.

my resolution : 1366 x 768 .

so tell me which gpu would be good for me and im planning to upgrade my monitor soon to 1080p , and i need to know a good case at a decent price to buy, also does the case come with a psu? and if it is so tell me a good case with 500w psu so i can safe money.

i just wanna know what i have to do/buy , btw dont ask me to replace my current cpu to core  i5 or core i3 because i just bought this cpu from 4days ago.. i cant imagine the loss if im going to sell it so ye i choose to continue with it .

my range : 500$ or 535$ and maybe 560$ idk yet but ye in this range.

and my games : mmo games like B&S , Tera and Black Desert ( ye i know its still not released but i need something to handle so i can play it later / fps games like Ghost Recon Phantoms / nosgoth / co-op like Warframe / and ye maybe bf3 or bf4 .

On a budget, forget cooling upgrades. Perhaps getting a 290 or 290x? They are quite cheap (290x is 300 CAD on sale) and are beat for the price. Another 4gb DIMM is not expensive either. You would need more than 500w for those,  but a 650 or 600 is not hard to get cheap.

For an AIO watercooler I recommend either the Corsair H105 or the CM Nepton 240M. You'll have to look up what they cost. But on such a tight budget I wouldn't recommend a AIO. They're pretty expensive and you won't get much benefit. I would rather spend less money on the CPU cooler to get a better GPU. You should have a look at the 212 EVO.

I guess you'll only play at 60Hz later on. So I would either recommend a GTX 760/960 or a R9 280 or 280X. Overall you'll have the best performance with the 280X. The 960 is a bit cheaper and is close in performance. But you can also get nice deals on the GTX 760 and R9 280.

snip!

When you switch from one driver/API implementation to another, you change some of the characteristics of the compute workload. Nvidia's driver/API implementation for DX11 is actually threaded better, and is, ironically, BETTER suited to piledriver CPU than AMD GPU's. By switching to nvidia, you would give your CPU up to a 25% performance advantage (=FPS) in compute bound conditions.

In switching to the Nvidia driver/API stack, you would have effectively lifted that CPU bound hard performance cap up a bit higher. I expect you'd see BOTH better minimum FPS in compute intensive games and better visual quality with your new GPU. Whether or not the performance increase on the minimums is enough to keep you satisfied is another story. If you get sick of compute intensive games dropping below 40FPS then you're going to have to consider a switch to haswell.

That said, my recommendation to pair with a FX-6300 CPU would be a GTX 760 or GTX 960.

i saw many ppl said that gtx 960 is worst than r9 280x and others saying 960 is better...  and some are saying 960 less power and good performance.. while others are saying that 280x is greater and has a decent price than 960 .. so really idk wt.f is going on .. which one is better? !! and why? and btw i saw ur comment somewhere in this forum answering a guy who asked if fx 6300 would bottleneck a gtx 960 ? and u said get r9 280x better.. so how u advice me now to get 960 :D btw i have the same cpu .

the R9 280X is slightly more powerful, yes...but AMD drivers require more CPU overhead which is something you don't really have with an AMD CPU...so if you where running a powerful haswell core i5 for example then the R9 280X would offer you greater performance but since you run the FX the GTX 960 is very likely to give better results while being more energy efficient.

But both are good choices honestly, what prices are you looking at on these?

Also, both of these GPU's are stupidly overkill for 1366x768...any low end GPU can drive such monitor...so this GPU upgrade is only worth doing if you are going to move to a higher resolution monitor...improving graphical fidelity and image quality.

but u just said r9 280x is better for that guy on the same forum here xD , well anyway i think 280x is abit expensive here and costs more than 960 well check the topic to see my budget 500$~560$ not just for the gpu, but also for new mobo + 4gb rams + psu + watercooling kit to oc my proc + maybe new case...
