1. go with the ASUS Z97-A mobo

2. can you not fit an ssd? the Crucial BX100 120gb is dirt cheap and crazy fast

3. everything else looks like something i would build for myself :)

you can get an i5 4440, remove the hyper 212 and fit an ssd

Defo fit in a SSD. Even if you go over your budget its still better having it.

I'll take a look at that motherboard. Also, I had looked at an SSD and it seems like a good idea... might have to spend that little extra :)

Thank you!

That's been considered, and I had thought exactly the same - either a new graphics card or this one, cheaper.

I already planned on waiting a little while anyway.

you should check "Raijintek Themis" for hyper 212 evo alternative, it should be cheaper than 212 evo in europe... also SSD is overrated in linustechtips forum... in my opinion... sure it's nice to have 10 sec bootup and 18 sec restart... and snappier default program and w/e program you install on SSD but for game it barely even boost loading time... I rather not get SSD and cut corner from somewhere to get better gpu

and windows 8 is blah!!! get windows 7 D= or w/e you like lol...

PLEASE QUOTE OR TAG (WITH @) ME IF YOU REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT ME TO REPLY!!!!!!!

Also if your issue is solved don't forget to mark the thread as solved!
Peace!!! from a random person in the tech's god forsaken land (named Finland or as I like to call it sarcastically FUNland)

Only getting Windows 8 'cause it's the cheapest I found in the UK at the moment, just waiting for the Windows 10 upgrade.

I know, hence him also removing the 212 EVO - it's no longer necessary without a 'K' edition CPU.

One question, why the different motherboard?

because the z97-a was too expesive, would need to take away the ssd for it too fit, a sacrifice i would not do personally.

its still a very good board and if in the future you wanna get an i7 4790K you will already have a z97 board to overclock it

I did, but with the added SSD and the cheaper CPU, I shan't bother. I was only gonna overclock if it was the 4690k.

Trying to keep close to your £800 budget, but still giving you the option to overclock.
