So your build has some things that don't make sense. The Z97 chipset is for overclocking of K series CPUs, which you aren't using. An h97 chipset is just fine. Also, ASRock makes quality products, so there's no reason to avoid them, especially when they make a GREAT h97 board for cheap. Also, it looks like you're making a $700 build plus OS, not a $750 build, so I did the same:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($178.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock H97 Anniversary ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($71.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($54.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($49.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 280X 3GB Video Card  ($212.98 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($64.99 @ Micro Center)
Power Supply: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  ($44.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $678.92

Edit: oh yeah, and do NOT pair an 80 series board with a haswell refresh CPU as that's just asking for potential bios reflashing troubles.

Really??!?!?!?!

Really. Currently, AMD CPUs are not a good buy for gaming PCs because they all have very poor single-threaded performance, which is hugely important for some games. That i3 performs better than an FX-8350 in actually most games.
