Hey Forum,

I am going to be building a pc soon and I want to know if Asus has good customer support. I have been searching around online and I have not found a good review about them yet. The component I am going to purchase is an M5A97 r2.0 motherboard. Should I change brands or keep going with this one? If I should, who should I switch to? I would like anyone who has had any contact with them or any other motherboard manufacturer (customer support wise) to please provide any input. All input is appreciated thank you!

Down here, my local shop handles the RMAing and shipping, thats why I'm not quite bothered by customer support :) I did try and get in touch with them, and oh boy, its a nightmare. They don't respond to phone calls or even sometimes emails. The only reason I went with them is because I am not on the dealing end :P

No! Asus has extremely poor customer support. I had an issue with one of my monitors and I went to support for help. I send in an email ticket with the guaranteed response time of around 48 hours. Guess how long it took them to respond!

2 FREAKING MONTHS!

I had already resolved my issue with the monitor luckily but still if that was an RMA I would be sooo pissed off. Not to say that Asus makes bad products but I certainly had a bad experience with their support. Luckily I have not had to use the support center again.

Just my thoughts.

Holy shit no, you will have to take 14 different langauge programs to try to get an idea of what tech support is saying, they are dumber then the hobo who yells at people down the street, take about a decade to respond via email, AND WORST OF ALL YOU GET A NICE LITTLE ADD ON TO YOUR PHONE BILL. But hey, at least they'll tell you to RMA if something is wrong, right?

I have been using Asus motherboards for my builds and I don't have any problems with them so the chance in RMAing a motherboard imo is very small.
