hdd and ssd cooler

Go to solution Solved by Raudi_,

is there a hdd or ssd cooler like the ram cooler

But they are pointless. If you case airflow can't keep the temps within a safe range for the drives you need to reconsider you case choice.

Probably, but you would NEVER need one.

There are. I wouldn't waste time with them though lol. It's probably the sign of a bad hdd or ssd if you gotta cool it. :P

Air moving in the case should be good enough.

nope nope my hdd's are fine i just wanted to know thats it :D

Hey dexzizo,

There are heatsinks for drives, but most drives operate within their recommended temperature without additional help. Some drives come with heatsinks due to the high heat emissions like WD VelociRaptor: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=5Ot6O2
Most of the times storage drives work well with just simple stock fan cooling from the case. :)

If this helped you, like and choose it as best answer - you might help someone else with the same issue. ^_^

Why would you think you need one, there are probably 3rd party measures but it would be so much easier to have a decent case with decent airflow. If there is an issue you are facing with your build then you need to think about the air flow you have. Linus has a video on air flow and negative and positive air pressure

Cooling an SSD? That thing will remain around 30C idle or at use.
