I was thinking of uprading from ny hyper 212 evo. But im not sure what to do, atm im just gonna do my cpu so i was thinking of the enermax liqtech 240 since almost every review so far has said that the build quality and the silence is very good and it also performs quite well. My other choice is to try and build a custom loop with a 240mm rad for around 150$ including taxes ( which is wat the enermaxcosts ) and has the same performance and silence.

For the custom loop the pros would be that i could include another rad later and put my gpu in the loop. the cons would be the maintenance and the risk of leaking ( which i know doesnt happen much but theres still a chance ) so i dont know what to do. Any help is appreciated

Paul and Jayztwocent made a lengthy video about watercooling. its very interesting, they talk about the pros and cons of custom water loops, costs and they even spend some time shopping on EK's website.

and you should also look into Jayztwocent youtube channel, he's an expert in custom watercooling, and computers in general...

may your framerates be high and your temperatures be low. #pcmr

ya im coming from his chanel thats why im asking because he was so impressed by the liqtech 240 so thats why im going that route if i go with a aio but i was wonderung if i could get a comparable custom loop for the same price. And i want somethung that would be near silent like jay explained the liqtech 240 to be since im quite ocd about noise. Even though i feel pretty good about my pc after having my xbox beside me on my desk since gta heist came out :P just realized how god dam loud tgat thing is

Custom loops are great BUT expect to pay north of $400 for cpu/and 1 gpu.

Dual rad (at least), or there's literally no point bothering. That goes for custom loop or aio.

for my cpu i know that if i wasnt going for atleast a 240mm that i wasnt going to go water thats why im probaly going for the enermax liqtech 240, but for the gpu aio it seems that even just a 120mm rad makes quite the differance

Agreed. Just too much work for a single rad in a custom loop (unless it's my MO-RA3-420!)

im thinking of geting the nzxt g10 gpu bracket with a corsair h55, for the gpu and a enermax liqtech 240 for the cpu... the total with tax and shipping would be 268$

The GPU, sure because it's difficult to fit a CPU air cooler on. For a CPU, though, a single rad won't give you any benefit over a decent air cooler.
