That Zalman PSU is an Enhance OEM, which is perfectly acceptable. Basically the difference between the RM and the Zalman is the difference between Enhance and Flextronics (Flextronics on the cheap as well).

The RM series uses Channel Well Technology as the OEM. Flextronics make the higher end AXi.

All the discontinued models are Chicony. The current lineup of RM units are all CWT.

The 750W and 850W Chicony models are no longer in production though. The new replacement 750W and 850W models are CWT.

Seems to be the case. I'm surprised to see the HXi series are also Channel Well. I would have guessed it was Flex, since anything from Channel Well seems to be firmly Bronze rated, but now I'm seeing all kinds of shit coming from them. Perhaps this means they're getting better.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'll take them all into consideration. As money goes, something's happened which means I'll have to take down my budget, but hopefully I can sort something out (hopefully).
