My R9 280 gaming hit 1875 on the memory which is still the current record for any AMD card, average is 1400-1550. 


It was 24/7 stable too.

Eplida is always the worst to get for AMD cards Hynix is the best you can get, for Nvidia I've always had much better luck with Hynix memory then Samsung.

It really varies though so far I have only seen Elpida memory on EVGA cards like the SC and non SC cards.

xfx 280x tdfd = 1750 (can benchmark at 1795)

sapphire 280x toxic = 1950 (for benchmarking) don't know 24/7

Screenshots? I would love to see an AMD card hit that memory clock speed at stock Mem voltage.

don't have a screenshot but here's a firestrike link. this was on the first night that i got the card without really dialing anything in.

i was running 1.6v for 1925-1950 (didn't try stock voltages). i was getting 1950-1975 at 1.625v

 

i have it running in crossfire and am too lazy to re-do everything.

 

top tip: putting a fan on the back of a 280x really helps controll temps

Yeah that's were I have you beat I could use stock voltage, but to get any more out of the memory I needed to mod the BIOS.

I've actually done some decent ocing on Elpida Memory so far. Im at +300MHz on the memory so far, im going to see how far i can push this card on a day where i have time.

Hynix Master Race, the R9 280 Gaming I got my record OC on stock voltage was 1250MHz stock. Getting it to 1875 made the effect Memory Clock speed 7400MHz and it beat my 770 in Benchmarks and games.

You have to multiply it by 4, right? Hah, i thought the 770 had some completly insane memory clock at 7000MHz

Yeah Multiply by 4, My Samsung 770 only let me do 2025 on the memory before being unstable, which was an offset of 515. My Hynix 770 though can do 2155 on the memory.
