Good enough for a TS server?

Go to solution Solved by Ryouichi Kiriyami,

Hi,

are these specs good enough for a TS server for a max of 5 people?

CPU: AMD P340 (2.2GHz dual core)

Do the rest matter? :P

teamspeak server?

:I my teamspeak server runs on 512kb dd2 RAM. a 1.6 single core processer. and onboard........and it can hold 30 people without problems

whatcha really gotta worry about is upload capacity....you want id say you're ok with 1 mbps upload but id shoot for 2 +

Yeah that would be fine :) Teamspeak servers are really light-weight when you only have a few people on.

My Current Build:

Intel i5 3570K @ 4.4GHz 1.11V, Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, Asrock Z77 Extreme4, Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz, Samsung 840 EVO 250GB, Asus GTX 760 DCII Overclocked, Corsair CX600M

Get the cheapest one of these and run it on that. The only thing you really need to worry about is the upload speed. The CPU and memory dont really matter.

We have 15 people connecting to a Windows TS on a 1mb upload connection and they get by.

Edit - I know its not good practice but its all the owner wants to pay for :P
