lepai Amp vs ohms

Go to solution Solved by MrYuriy,

I'm not sure why the reviewer would say that.

I own that Tri-Amp myself (Lepai AT-2020+) and it pushes my 7-9 Ohms speakers just fine.

On top of that, that was before I did a few mods to that T-Amp.. There are some GREAT communities & threads that guide you and link you to the right items. All you gotta learn is the 8th grade skill of saudering.

If you want to EASILY push those speakers and even much stronger ones with higher fidelity - Here's the guide I used for 90% of my mods:

http://techtalk.parts-express.com/showthread.php?226235-Modding-the-Lepai-T2020A

(The pics for the guides are color-coded, and each item is linked for cheapest price.. My 10-yr old nephew helped me sauder (I taught him on the way.. It's a $20 amp :P)

So, I'm looking at the lepai 2020+ amp, and a review on it says that with 8ohm speakers its not able to operate at a good volume with less than 10% distortion.

I'm looking at some speakers, MB42s from Micca, and they say they are 8-4 ohms. Will these be fine? Is this a problem?

Great! Exactly what I wanted to hear. I'll pick up these bits on payday if I have enough left after buying my motherboard.
