well the best performing mobo out there would be the ASUS maximus VII

 

is that the mobo you should buy?

no

do you have the money for it?

dont get it and get a better gpu

 

what gpu should you get?

the asus z97-a or z97-plus

I have the ASUS Maximus VII and it's awesome! I've had good experiences with Gigabyte but not with MSI.

So i'm trying to find the best performance in a motherboard for intel, i've been looking at some Msi and Evga. Suggestions?

socket? CPU? budget...color scheme? SLI support required? location? we need to know a lot more...company name won't mean shit!
