I was folding overnight and max temparature of my gpu was 73 degrees when it was working at 100 percent usage (According to HWMonitor)

I went to play csgo, it reached 78 degrees, how is that even possible?

my gpu is a msi HD R7770 (the 1 fan design), It is quite awkward because i would expect it woudl heat up more with 9 hours of folding than 1 hour of csgo :/

Do you have V-Sync enabled? If not, you may be pushing the GPU more than it should, which may lead to higher temperatures.

Its disabled, my fps is still pretty low and gets some massive drops, with it enabled It would be even worse

It happens with my card too, don't worry about it. I think it's because the vram gets extremely low usage with folding, so the temperatures aren't as high even if it reads as full load. Games on the other hand will use all dat vram.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨
