I'm looking for some advice; I've bought a basic system over the last couple of months (upgraded from an old core 2 duo/9800gt, which definately needed a replacement). Now I'm trying to decide what GPU to put in it.

I'm looking for something which can play current titles at 1080p (I've got a dual monitor setup, but use one for gaming). I'm not looking for the fastest ever stuff, I'm fine with "just" medium or high settings (hell, I'm currently using the iGPU :P). I mostly play games like GW2, the Assassin's Creed series, Dragon Age, Elder Scrolls series, Tomb Raider. I'm looking to spend around €250,- (in the Netherlands), which could get stretched a bit if needed.

The system I've got at the moment is as follows:

CPU Intel i5 4690

CPU cooler Cooler Master 412S

Motherboard Asus H97M-E

Memory Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB kit

PSU Cooler Master G550M

Storage Crucial MX100 256GB & Western Digital Green 1TB

Case Fractal Design Define Mini

I'm not an overclocker (as evident from the system so far), so I won't be tweaking everything to get it faster. The PSU has quite a bit of headroom left to power just about any GPU though, the current 900 series wasn't released yet when I bought that, so that shouldn't limit me in any way.

I was thinking that the GT960 would be nice, but that turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. But around that performance point is what I'm looking at... So any idead? 280x? Wait for the 300 series? Wait for a 960ti perhaps?

I'm not in a hurry to buy something right now, waiting wouldn't be a problem too. :)
