Hey guys i just finished buying all the parts to my first build. Im so excited for it.

At this point im just waiting on the case to arrive. Ill have my system build down below.

 

Im just wondering if anyone has any tips for a first time builder? Anything to really watch out for?

Im a ball of nervous excitement and really dont want or can afford to screw things up lol!

What do i attach the other end of the cable to? my case??? psu plugged in?? 

 

and i know about that update needed. im kind of hoping for the best and if i need to get a cheepo cpu to flash real fast then screw it lol. But ive herd that is could registered and read it as a similar cpu and work at reduced performance until i update it.

Hook the wrist strap up to the fan grate of your PSU that is plugged into the wall and turned off before it in installed in the case. Once it is installed, plug it back in, keep it off, and clip to the case if it is metal. The metal on the case will ground through the PSU. If the case isn't metal, keep clipped to the fan grate on the PSU.

Should have save on the cooler for now and go with a bigger ssd. That ssd is way too small to install windows. it will probably even prevent you from installing it.

The windows system requirements say you only need 20GB for 64 bit Windows 8.1 so maybe 30-odd GB's of storage space is enough?
