Using iGPU and GPU on different monitors?

Go to solution Solved by Wtalk2,

On my PC I use my GPU for two of my monitors and my iGPU for the third so it should work :)

PS: Try to get an AMD dedicated GPU also because AMD and NVIDIA graphics drivers don't always play well together (They will work together though).

Hello, and thanks for reading this already!

I'm looking for a budget build for my mom. To keep low costs, I wanted to go with an cheap CPU with an iGPU in it, so I thought of the AMD A4-4000 (it's casual use, so no need for max power). But the problem is, she would like two hdmi outputs. So I could OR go with an motherboard with 2 hdmi outputs (+/- € 100), or an dedicated GPU with 2 hdmi outputs (+/- € 100, well sh**). So now, can I use 1 HDMI output from my mobo and 1 from a cheap GPU, and will the mixture of AMD and Nvidia make a problem?

Basic guide to CPU's!

If I said I were 14, you would call me a kid. If I say 70, you’ll entitle me too old. If I say 20 you say I’m inexperienced and if I say 40 than I'm too boring.

Well IDK about AMD, but I use my iGPU on my i7 and my 780 at the same time.

I would say it shouldn't be a problem. You'll just need AMD display Drivers as well as Nvidias drivers. I don't think they play nice with each other. Might want to rethink that strategy. (IDK if it's still the case with Nvidia/AMDs drivers).

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

i think linus did say it's not recommended as he did get bsod's...you can try your luck, but dont expect the same..

on the other hand, i did try using both gpu, and igpu like @Jerakl..but not gaming on the igpu

It's only for casual use, that won't be a problem!
