GT520 PhysX

I've got an old 520 just sitting on my desk (don't ask) would it be worth making it a dedicated physx card?

I suppose it's worth trying out, but I doubt that it'll raise framerates and if anything, it'll lower them.

It's not worth it unless your going AMD.

i tested a gt 520 with my 690 actually and found the framerate to be exactly the same within margin of error

If you have a 600/700 series card, there is no reason for having a dedicated PhysX card.

 

And if you plan on using a GT520 for dedicated PhysX and have it with a AMD card, that's not a good idea. You can only make it work with outdated hacked drivers that have no support. I would not recommend it.

Well if you don't play boat loads of Borderlands 2 I just wouldn't bother. TressFX and PhysX are going no where fast.

You can try it out if you want to i ve always used nvidia cards so i donr know how it is like to be with no pshyx and tresfx :p

I have actually tried setting up hybrid physx... Did not work for me

I hope physx for cpus becomes better soon especially as its being seen more in Bf4.
