Hi

I want to upgrade my Xperia SP to some a bit better . After looking for a while I couldnt really find much. So I thought you guys might be able to help.

The main things I want from it are:

Same sort size as what I have now

Better screen ( 1080p sort range)

Faster

Android ( Ideally Kit Kat as hear thats the best one atm?)

Available in the UK

In the £200 - £300 ($300 - $400) range

Thanks

Edit: Just saw these two , anyone have used or tried them? Huawei Ascend P7  Alcatel Idol X

At that price, Nexus 5. Literally ticks every box. :)

Aren't they pretty hard to come by, they've stopped selling them in the play store, I'm not sure about else where .

They're available on Amazon UK and eBay, usually at ~£270- as new handsets.

They're expensive for what they are, the OnePlus One is £290 and its comes with 64GB of storage, sure not instant upgrades to the latest version of android but he said he was looking for android 4.4 preferably.

Potentially although things look a bit shaky for that company and their phone. Maybe if Oxygen OS is good.

And I think he wanted the latest version and wasn't sure if it was KitKat. His use of a question mark suggests that to me anyway.

Yeah it does, but I'm going to try Oxygen OS.

Perhaps he's heard about the memory leak issues with android 5.0, however I think it's just been recently addressed with android 5.1 not sure if it's released yet.

I do believe Android 5.1 is rolling out now, and I've been running Stock and CM12 Nightlies (5.0 based) for quite some time and I don't think memory leaks have been effecting my phone- and if it was I hadn't noticed ;)

I tried it with my nexus 7 2012 and it was super slow, don't know whether that's memory leaking issue or just that the n7 is beat up as shit and it the nand is deteriorating perhaps? Also tried with my nexus 4 before it broke (I dropped it :() had no issues, I guess it could just be certain devices that it affects .

The N7 2012 is a VERY slow device ever since 4.2 and it never really got any better I found, after you get a few apps on the craptastic NAND will just ruin any decent performance you had.
