Hello! I have been thinking about getting a new graphics card.

My current specs are :

EVGA Standard 500W PSU

Zotac GeForce GTX 760 (not overclocked).

a AsRock Mini-ITX board

AMD Athlon x4 860k (overclocked to 4.8GHz)

I have a aseteck 545LC liquid cooling unit..

2 WD 3T black drives

....

So, since I have 3 monitors (all 1080p) I noticed that the 2GB graphics memory is easily being used .... So, (sorry for repeating)

But, I currently have a

Zotac GeForce GTX 760 (stock clock)

And I wanted to upgrade to a

Gigibyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 gaming...

And I noticed that it recommended a 550w PSU . So I got worried that I wasn't going to be able to use it considering it is such a great card. My system is already assembled....and I want to be able to swap out the card without having to switch my PSU...

P.S. I have searched the internet and has not seen anything that could help me. So I came here for the help.

And a side note : I do not plan on overclocking the new GPU!

Thanks!

Are you sure? Comment #4

I will agree with you if it was a reference card. But it's a Gigabyte WindForce Gaming edition... And it will most likely to use more power... I'm just not sure because Gigabyte says "minimum power requirements = 550w PSU"

That's a big difference....

I am a little AMD fanboy, I'm aware of the limitations and such on AMD equipment.... But, I

Am trying Nividia for their features, and I got amazing performance compared to my old radeon HD 7870..

I loved both cards... But I decided to try Nividia for the first time with the 760 and I was happy... And now I need a upgrade.so I want the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 g1 gaming edition... I have had my eye on it for a while. And now it's time...
