The AC series from Asus is the safest bet.

I agree. I currently have one of 900 series of Asus routers (which is a step below AC) and I get no degradation in speed or signal. On top of that, I get an extreme amount of control over my network and everything on it.

 

Asus is top notch. Go for it.

Guilty of building a PC that is more powerful than necessary... No ragrets.
