Hello,

At the moment I own a Core 2 Quad Q8300 and a Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 (2GB), however, it's hard for me to stream even at 720p because my game starts lagging.

So...here comes the question. Is it worth upgrading to a i5 4570 or should a capture card suffice?

CPU: 241.29 USD

MOBO (Asus B85M-G): 95.76 USD

RAM: 80.62 USD

or

Avermedia AVer3D CaptureHD: 126.90 USD

or

Avermedia Game Broadcaster HD: 167.36 USD

And if the best choice is a capture card, do I need a HDMI cable (from GPU to Capture card) ?

Thank you

P.S.: Other recommandations are welcome.

Capture card will take the load off of your CPU.

i agree, you should get the capture card.

Yes you will need a cable from the GPU to the capture card then out to your monitor. I think some capture cards come with HDMI cables so check what comes in the box of the one you buy so you know if you will need another one
