Memory usage at "idle".

I've recently looked at my computer after installing a few programs and I have realized I am currently (not including browser) am using 2 GB of memory simply due to apps running in background such as Skype. I was wondering if this a lot or not, I have 16 GB of memory so it's not really an issue, but I was wondering how much you guys idle at?

Current Desktop Build | 2200G | RX 580 4GB | 8GB RAM | CTRL | Logitech G Pro Wireless

Laptop | 2018 MBA 256/16GB | MX Master

Since I'm in the middle of a build, I'll just use my phone for the poll.

With FF open and 5 tabs,....one of them playing a linus video right now...using 1.8GB with 8GB installed.

With Firefox gone it's 250-400MB less.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
