I got a used Pentium G3258 which worked before. I installed it into a Asus Z87-A motherboard. The Bios is up to date. When I turn the PC on, the CPU led just stays on. I already did a cmos reset and tryed another CPU, which worked. Anyone have an idea, if there is a way to safe the Pentium? I can't see anything wrong with it. I already called the Black Magic guy, he couldn't fix it either.

Try re updating the BIOS maybe?

Reset everything and start again.

reset bios from inside bios and try again?

So you didn't go crazy on the overclock?

I did a cmos reset and I haven't OCed it. When I put the other CPU inside, the motherboard restarts 3 times and blinks, then it boots. With the Pentium it just turns the fan on and the CPU LED stays red.
