Gigabyte brix/Cyberpower FANG MINI R9 SE $350.00

Psykomantis00

Not on sale or anything but this is a pretty amazing deal. I've been looking for something to play LoL on as a dedicated League box and my requirements were 60+ FPS at 1080p and less than 500 dollars in a super small form factor. I'm almost positive this should do that. I've looked at laptops, nuc's, brix, custom builds and this is by far the cheapest solution I could come up with.  If you compare prices of this to any other brix you'll see it's the cheapest possible solution. Not only is it only 350 dollars with free shipping but it comes with 2gb of ram and a 120gb ssd which would add at least 100-200 to your build if bought seperate. I just ordered one of these so once I get it I'll post a review of playing league at 1080p (and also try it at 4k just for shits and giggles).

2gb of ram? my friend that's unbearable. And that thing will most likely throttle like crazy

Err pretty sure that's going to struggle at a lot of stuff. Pretty mediocre CPU, slow and low amount of system RAM, a low end mobile GPU, and no HDD; only a 120GB SSD.

With shadows off, I bet I can. I'll find out soon enough.

you were better off following the AMD build guide here in LTT

gaming on 4k using that will be unplayable

I'm not going to be gaming in 4k. I'm going to test it just to see what it can do (just because I can) but it's going to be a LoL box that runsat 1080p or 1366x768 most of the time.

You won't be able to build a better machine for less money that is smaller or similar in size. It's just not going to happen. This is a steal for what it is.

Not my cup of tea, but let's be realistic. You could run league on a god damn tablet. I'm sure this box wouldn't have any issues. And as OP stated, that's all he wants it for.

Seems a solid media htpc also. For streaming/light gaming seems solid. Curious of it throttles at all. Please keep updated, may want to get this instead of a console for my tv
