GPU Performance Problem

Go to solution Solved by Tim Drake,

how can i solve this problem? :(

Idk..

Check cables and Nvidia control panel. Don't have much experience with more than 1 card :P

Hello.

I have just assembled a new computer for gaming. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tcTxCJ

But i have a big problem. My FPS while playing games is really low for how much i payed for GPUs (GTX 970 2-Way SLI). I expected to get 60 FPS in any game at 1920x1080. But instead i get 30 FPS (Ultra, MSAA 8x)  while playing watch dogs and i am not even doing anything just standing. Am i just expecting too much from the cards to get 60 FPS at these maximum settings or is it just some vierd performance of the GPUs? Should i overclock them or should i refund them? I even wanted to get a 3440x1440 monitor but i am wondering if i would be able to drive games on it.

Please can you somehow help me with this problem?  I have GPU driver updated. Should i consider buying 3440x1440 display or i should not anymore?

Thank you for replying.

Can you get us some FPS benchmarks and stuff?

Monitor your FPSes in games and tell us what they are and stuff.

See if everything is running correctly when a game is open too using MSI Afterburner.

EDIT: Were you under a rock when Watch_Dogs was released? That games runs like ass on any PC..

Hmmmm....

I get those FPS with a single 970..

Maybe it isn't picking up your second card?

On the Ultra preset (So no Nvidia Gameworks or 8x MSAA or anything like that), I get mid 50's at the lowest usually.

Go run 3Dmark Firestrike and post the results if you can, it will be easier to compare

try a game that isn't published by ubisoft. also try disabling one of your cards in the nvidia control panel, not all games support sli and some games have performance issues with sli turned on.

My rig:
CPU: i5 4690k 24/7 @4.4ghz (1.165v) Max 4.7ghz (1.325v) COOLER: NZXT Kraken X61 MOBO: Asus Z97-A   RAM: 16GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical   GPU: EVGA GTX 970 SSC   PSU: EVGA GS 650W   CASE: NZXT Phantom 530 HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB + WD Black 2TB

8xMsaa? That would fill all 3.5gb4gb framebuffer.

You must have some really stupid settings enabled like Fur Simulation if you were getting 30fps on one 970...

I average 60-100fps in FC4 on one 970 on the Ultra preset, what you're achieving with SLI.

Should i turn off fur simulation? Will it help a lot?
