Get some shields. You can have all sorts of fun once you get arduino shields.

there are a lot of things you can do with it i have made a small laser engraver type thing with some old dvd burners and an arduino uno as well as some stepper controllers and my keyboard and numpad are both ran off arduino compatible controllers
