Help with cpu to mobo

Go to solution Solved by Fate,

thank you, it fits snug in the socket im just worried that when I put the retetion arm down its gonna wreck the socket pins, i heard a wierd noise when first putting it down and immediatly stopped. But It was always in correctly

If you're sure it's in correctly, go ahead and push the arm down. It takes quite a bit of force

There are two notches on the CPU to line it up with a motherboard. And the resistance is pretty normal. :)install1155_DSCF3459.jpg

Yeah, it's kinda scary seating Intel CPUs, especially on the retention arm. As long as it doesn't require more than 8lbs force or so you should be fine.

Sig under construction.
