GPU Quandary

e) One of the above.

Personally, would wait until you actually have problems with current card.

Currently I have a GTX 770 SC ACX 4gb card. My experience with it has been great. However, I felt like an idiot because I bought in August not knowing the newer stuff was coming out a month later at a similar price point. Now I'm wondering what the best course of action would be:

a. Get another 770 for SLI (It's still around $350-$400 for the SC ACX 4gb one)

b. Replace it with a 970 (Not to keen on this on with the whole 3.5gb vram debacle) and then later another one for SLI

c. Save up and replace it with a 980 and eventually get another one for SLI

d. Do nothing and wait for Nvidia to release the GTX 1080 or whatever they decide to call it

Hbm however is confirmed

Men the 4000 cores, hbm stacked... It has double the bandwidth of a 970. Double...

"Leaked Specs"

How do you know?

Um wait for a 390x which will kill the 980?

So you've seen the card perform?

Nice!

Why does stuff always have to devolve into a brand war?

Only person who mentioned the other vendor was the AMD enthusiast. :P

it was merely recommended..though yes, a bit off from the OP's choices..a recommendation out of the box :D (not only limited to gpu's, but cpu's aswell, lol)

on topic: i'd support the best answer selected..700 series are still great, i'm still considering it in making my purchase this month (after reviews and benchmark)..
