Hello all!

I'm waiting for all the data on my old drive to transfer to my new one, which leaves me bored and looking to spend my hard earned money. Id like to buy a new power-supply but want to avoid scouring the internet for hours trying to find the perfect one at a good price. If you are bored like I am and want to, I would graciously accept links to psu's you'd recommend. Here are the requirements:

-Must be at least 700 watts (plan on getting a second 970 and OC-ing them both along with an OC-ed cpu)

-Must be at least 80+ Bronze

-Must be at least semi-modular but fully would be nice

-I'm looking to spend $70-90 USD but I might push it to $110-120 for a good enough deal

Thank you in advance!

is xfx realiable when it comes to psu's? ive never used them before and always kinda associated them with seasonic or coolmax, the budget oriented manufacturers

XFX XTR is made by Seasonic, which make very good PSUs. They are in no way a "budget" oriented manufacturer like Coolmax, they put very good quality components into their PSUs.

there is only a few people who make psus everyone just slaps their band on them. This xfx is good. The evga is better i think, you would never be able to tell without a oscilloscope.

The EVGA G2 (Super Flower Leadex) does slightly outperform the XFX XTR (Seasonic G). However both of them are still rock solid. IMO the XFX looks nicer though.

evga does have a really good warranty too. I think these both have the 0 rpm fan?

would you consider them on par with Evga and corsair, the biggest premo names in psus?

Depends on which model specifically. EVGA and Corsair do not make their own PSUs. They rebrand PSUs from other companies.

Honestly both EVGA and Corsair's PSUs are mediocre aside from the EVGA G2 and the Corsair AX. I still wouldn't get the AX though as they're heavily overpriced compared to the Seasonics that they're based off of. The G2 on the other hand though is fantastic for the money.

Keep in mind though that the price difference is $48, and you'll never notice the difference between them in performance, efficiency, or that extra ten watts (barely enough to charge one of todays smartphones)

Alright, thank you very much. I think ill get the evga one just for the brand. It will also match my graphics cards

No problem. The EVGA is better then the XFX, it's just that some people will prefer the look of the XFX (rather then the plain-black-box EVGA G2) so I provided it with an option. :)

Dude, Neither EVGA nor Corsair make their own PSUs.

Seasonic is one of the best manufacturers out there, and they happen to make all XFX PSUs. For Corsair and EVGA it's a little more complicated as they use different manufacturers depending on their PSUs so their performance vary wildly.

And XFX is definitely up there as far as PSU brand go, it's in no way a seller of crappy budget PSU and is definitely one of the top brands out there.

But I don't really see the reason to get that since currently the EVGA Supernova B2 750W is selling for $59.99 after MIR. That makes it the best value for what you are looking for and it's a great PSU overall and it actually has a 80+ silver efficiency from what johnnyguru tested.
