VCR Repair? - Who Loves Legacy Tech?

lol1419

Hello LTT Community,

I was reliving my wonderful childhood memories of television and entertainment the other week. I dug up my old VHS tapes and decided to watch some of my favorites. However, I noticed that my VCR won't load any of my tapes. I figured that the tray loading system that loads the VHS into the the VCR was broken but I can't say for sure. I'm including some pictures of my VCR so hopefully some of you could lead me into the right direction to getting it fixed. I really don't wan't to throw it out if it is broken, as much as possible. It's possible if I remember correctly that this VCR is around 18 years old. The last time I used it (a few years ago maybe) it worked flawlessly, as it has been its whole lifetime. If I can't fix it, is there any store in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) where I could have someone take a look at it? Thanks for all your help in advance!

***VHS gets stuck at this point. It doesn't want to go in. I can pull it out with no problem.

It could be that the mechanism is stuck, or is one of those annoying VCR with some child proof thing xD.

Check the manual for something like that, if not, you will have to open it and take a look.

The stars died for you to be here today.

A locked bathroom in the right place can make all the difference in the world.
