Yea that's totally fine on everything working together, pcpartpicker screams at you if there's issues. However, for a gaming rig, that is far, far, far more than you need, for an editing rig that's a good build. Either way, that's a beastly rig to have under your belt.

Under Compatibility notes I can find this but I really dont understand

 

"Some Intel X79 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Ivy Bridge-E CPUs."

Just means that some older boards require a software update before they function correctly. However, if the board is being bought new, then it most likely already has the newer bios preinstalled, but if the board has been sitting in a warehouse for long enough then it might not have the newer bios. You should be fine though.

For an editing job, dont you need the CUDA thing on Nvidia GPU more? And also dont those stuff need more SSD to reduce rendering time and stuff?
