Nvidia Windows Kernel crash ?

Go to solution Solved by MadManMarsBar,

UPDATE

We fixed it , we downclocked the GPU by -50 ,that worked and game was playable

so out of curiosity we tried a very small OC of 10 mhz , and that worked too :D

Hi Everyone

My Girlfreidn is having a weird problem with her PC

we recently upgraded her PC so she could play games with me

Specs

Q6600 @2.4ghz

4gb DDR3 ram

EVGA gtx660 SC

EVGA 500w PSU

now onto the issue , so we have played borderlands 2 together for hours and it runs amazing , but then we tried to play BF4 .......

everytime she gets into a game (multiplayer) her drivers crash , more specifically it says the Nvidia kernel has crashed

we use DDU to wipe the old drivers and we installed an older driver (344.11) but it still did it , so we wiped it again and installed the newest drivers (347.52) and it still does it , i have read some stuff about down clocking the GPU a little bit but is there anything else we can try ?

if you have any questions please ask :) thanks in advance :)

This happens in BF4 with an overclocked GPU. Make sure you arent OC or factory OCed

 eGPU Setup: Macbook Pro 13" 16GB DDR3 RAM, 512GB SSD, i5 3210M, GTX 980 eGPU

New PC: i7-4790k, Corsair H100iGTX, ASrock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer, 24GB Ram, 850 EVO 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD, GTX 1080 Fractal Design R4, EVGA Supernova G2 650W

its a factory OC'ed EVGA gtx660 , so do you think we should try downclocking the gpu a little bit ?
