What in your mind defines a PC enthusiast??? Just thought it would be fun to ask

CPU-i5 4690k 4.4ghz @ 1.190V, MOBO-MSI z97 gaming 3, Cooler-hyper 212 evo, GPU- r9 290x asus directcuII (-37Mv), Storage-120gb v300(switching soon), 1tb caviar blue, CASE-Red/black h440, PSU-Antec TPC 650.

Seems kinda silly, how does perferring one maufacturer or brand over another make someone who's really into tech make not an enthusiast?

thats one thing but a fanboy is someong who will say that this manufacturer or brand is better than every other one no matter how much proof is shown that it is not the best

Not all people that could be considered a fanboy are like that though, there are people who perfer intel CPU's and only intel CPU's because they are infact better overall and AMD's offerings. That person is still into tech regardless of their opinions and that makes them an enthusiast.

A PC enthusiast is, in my opinion, someone, who is interested in computer hardware, wants to learn more about it and wants to use it either way.

 

A manufacturer/brand fanboy doesn't make a PC enthusiast, neither does a PC enthusiast make a manufacturer/brand fanboy.
