What Are CPU Samples?

Go to solution Solved by CoolaxGaming,

OK, lets think of a ssd. AMD made 1000 ssds and benchmarked one at 6GBPS and 500K IOPS. But that may be a golden SSD. So there are 10 SSDS tested. Making the sample size 10. The performence is average of the 10 ssds tested. The bigger the sample size, the more accurate the info.

Hi guys,

I've been using the PassMark site to compare various CPUs against each other and one of the comparisons is "# of Samples". I'm curious as to know what samples are, could someone please explain it to me?

Thanks in advance for your help. :)

Probably the amount of times it's been tested. (People doing their fancy overclocking and what-not)

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Thanks guys. That clears that up. Tis good to know that it's nothing to worry about. :)
