Hi,

This is my first build, I'm going to be using it for gaming, streaming, rendering and editing. I Don't want anything too fancy and i want room for future upgrades- i dont want a top end mega-super-ultra-fast all-in-one-pc that can do everything straight off.

I need some help with regards to whether all the components are compatible or not (I think they should be)

Components:

NZXT Phantom 410 Black Case

ASUS Maximus VII Ranger

XFX Radeon R9 280X 3GB

Corsair RM Series 80 Plus Gold 750W Fully Modular Power Supply

2TB Seagate Barracuda Hard Drive (For Games and Files)

Samsung 2.5" 120GB SSD (For OS and Sony Vegas)

Intel i5 4690 Quadcore CPU 3.5Ghz 6MB Cache

Corsair Vengence Pro Series 16GB DDR3 Red

Pioneer Internal Blu-Ray Player

Be Quiet! Pure Rock CPU Cooler (Not Using Stock Cooler!)

ASUS PCE-N15 300Mps Wireless PCI-E Adaptor (Until I get a wired connection to my room)

Windows 8.1 64 Bit

I Don't want to use watercooling before you all tell me to because it's too expensive and fiddly and this my FIRST build.

As you can tell I'm going for a black with red accents look here

If there's anything glaringly obvious that I missed please point it out

Thanks,

Jack from JSpotGaming :)

Yes, but it won't tell you if the parts chosen are actually any good, nor if you can get more performance for your money. I'm clearly looking at that mobo and CPU choice.....

Yes, that mobo will hinder your pc.

Let me say again. Tell me your budget. I can aid you with your build, but I need to know that info before I can begin.

in the long run an i7 would be better for rendering, editing and recording thats why most people only looking to game get an i5 if you in to video making you should get an 17 even if it costs 100 more
