Plastidip might not be the best as it will start to peel faster.

Plasti-dip is tolerant to temps of up to 100C which most laptop casings won't experience but do remember that it is a rubber coating so it's contact or abrasion durability is much less compared to paint.

Just to give some ideas have you though about wrapping it in vinyl?

buy some sheets of 3m vinyl wrap. Easy to apply, less permanent than any paint, and looks great if you know how to measure and cut accurately
